What Just Flush is
Just Flush is BBB Septic's concentrated enzyme treatment for residential septic tanks. It is sold as a maintenance product, not as a substitute for pumping. One water-soluble bag flushed once a month is the published use, and one bag can maintain systems up to 1,000 gallons.
It is not a chemical. The published product notes say it is 100 percent non-toxic and non-pathogenic, and that it contains no salmonella or E. coli. It uses a powdered form of dry beneficial bacteria aimed at organic waste and sludge. BBB sells a 6-month supply through the shop and through technicians on job sites.
Additives do not remove the solids a tank is supposed to hold. If solids wash out into the drain field, the system has a problem and the house may be using too much water. Pumping and, when you want it on a calendar, the Preferred Customer Program are how the tank gets emptied and checked.
