Some minor sewer line problems can be solved by snaking, but many can’t. Our technicians can clear out the debris clogging your lines, so the system works again and a small problem doesn’t turn into damage to your system and property.
By the time most customers notice a problem with their lateral lines, it’s already a big one. Regular lateral line cleaning helps head that off.
If cleaning turns up damage, we also handle septic system repair. If the field no longer accepts water, you need drain field repair.
What lateral line cleaning includes
Lateral lines carry liquid from the septic tank out to the drain field. When those lines clog, snaking a single opening often doesn't reach the debris. BBB Septic cleans out major debris that is clogging the lines so the system can move water again and the yard is less likely to take the damage.
Line cleaning fixes a clogged line. It doesn't replace a system. If we find a broken pipe, a failed field, or a tank that needs repair, we'll tell you and talk through septic system repair or drain field repair. Pumping is its own job.
Accessible lids make the line and the tank easier to reach. Septic covers and risers bring pump-out openings to grade so the next visit doesn't start with a search through the yard.
Signs the lines need cleaning
Most people call once the problem is already big. Slow drains, sewage odors, wet or soggy spots, sewage backup into the house, a septic alarm, and unusually green grass over the lines are the warning signs we see on Northwest Arkansas systems. Don't wait for a backup if the yard over the lines stays wet.
A clogged lateral line and a drain field that no longer accepts water are different jobs. Cleaning is the fix when debris is blocking the line and snaking isn't enough. Drain field repair is the fix when the field itself has failed. Landscaping, deep roots, and extra water on the field can all play a part, so keep deep-rooted plants off the field.
